TurtleMetrics vs TradeZella

Two journals.
Different jobs.

TradeZella is a broad trading platform with journal, replay, backtesting, AI, and multi-broker support. TurtleMetrics is a focused automatic journal for NinjaTrader futures day traders. The better choice depends on the workflow you want to build.

01 / QUICK ANSWER

Choose the tool that matches your actual review habit.

TURTLEMETRICS

Choose TurtleMetrics if you trade futures in NinjaTrader.

It is designed around one stack: NinjaTrader, flat-to-flat trades, and a short weekly review. The add-on keeps the journal current while the Risk Tool preserves the stop you actually used — so realized R is not reconstructed after the fact.

You will not get a replay simulator, a backtesting suite, or an AI assistant. That is deliberate: TurtleMetrics is for traders who want a smaller system they will return to.

TRADEZELLA

Choose TradeZella if you need a broader trading platform.

TradeZella is the more capable fit if you trade through multiple brokers, use different asset classes, want to replay or backtest, or value AI-assisted reviews and mentor tooling. It syncs NinjaTrader too, alongside a substantially wider list of platforms.

Its plans and feature limits vary more by tier — account count, AI credits, and replay all move with the plan — so confirm the tier details before subscribing.

03 / WORKFLOW

TurtleMetrics is intentionally narrow.

A useful journal has to survive a long trading week. TurtleMetrics removes the import step for NinjaTrader traders, then makes the review questions fixed and repeatable: Which setup worked? Which behavior cost you? When were you at your best?

01

Trade normally

Closed NinjaTrader trades sync automatically. No CSV export at the end of the day.

02

Review the week

Use the calendar and charts to walk the trades, then tag setups and behaviors.

03

Change one thing

Use setup, tag, time-of-day, symbol, and MAE/MFE analysis to make the next week more deliberate.
